A Double Date at Palmilla
Nick and I played at Cabo del Sol yesterday, but today we were playing with our significant others at the One&Only Palmilla Golf Club in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Nick's girlfriend Lori and my wife Jenn went to Villanova together back in the day. They've stayed great friends ever since - which is fortunate for Nick and I because not only do we get along great, but we also both love golf more than, well, just about anything. Even better, both Lori and Jenn enjoy it too. An ideal round for both of them is only about 13 or 14 holes, but we'll take it!
It's true what they say: Couples that play together, stay together.
Palmilla Golf Club is Jack Nicklaus’ first Latin America design and is recognized as the "Grand Dame of golf" in Los Cabos. With 27 holes that all have ocean views, beautifully manicured fairways and greens, some in deep canyon arroyos, with hilly desert terrain, and a layout that challenges even the most experienced players, Palmilla consistently ranks among the top courses in Mexico. For me, it's easily in the top 10 that I've ever played.
I'm so happy that I got to share the experience with my wife and our two great friends. I'm even happier that we enlisted a local EGM photographer to capture these priceless golf memories for us! It was truly a memorable day, and it's so nice to be able to look back on all the photos and reminisce about how much fun it was.
